Ty Gwyn Medium Dry Cider is a blend of late harvested 'Vilberie' and 'Brown Snout' apples. It appeals to the casual cider drinker as well as the aficionado. It has a very slight sweetness on the tongue that gives way to a traditional cider 'dryness'. It is a classic lightly sparkling farm cider that has won many plaudits and its success led us to widening our cider range.

Ty Gwyn Medium Cider is a slightly sweeter cider made from a single apple variety, 'Browns'. It appeals to those whose palate is traditionally drawn to a sweeter tasting cider. It does however retain all the freshness and subtlety of hand crafted cider and those making the jump from commercial sweet ciders will be pleasantly surprised.

Ty Gwyn cider is Welsh farm cider made from apples grown in Wales. It is made on our farm in the Monnow Valley where we have been growing cider apples for almost forty years. Our cider apples are grown on terraces and comprise varieties such as Brown Snout and Vilberie. They are washed and juiced on the premises and then transferred into containers that we store in one of the farm barns. They are bottled and labelled in the Forest of Dean.

The end result of our dedication and the beautiful environment in which we make our cider is a refreshing medium cider that has won several prestigious awards including a gold medal at the Leeds Beer, Cider and Perry Festival, voted for by members of Leeds CAMRA, and a bronze medal from the Welsh Cider and Perry Association. It is sold direct from the farm, in local supermarkets and also in a number of award winning gastro pubs and restaurants including the Bell at Skenfrith and the Felin Fach Griffin near Brecon. We have recently been the subject of press articles in the South Wales Argus and the Hereford Times.
